The Zappi is Myenergi’s smart EV charger, with which you can charge your car when and how you want. As with all of their products, it’s designed to work seamlessly with solar PV, or any other form of microgeneration, and battery storage. It monitors exported power from the property and, in ECO mode, controls the charging rate of the EV to match the available surplus generation. This means that you can charge your car for free!

Plus, Zappi chargers can be installed under the OLEV grant scheme where an accredited installer is used.

The Myenergi product family isn’t limited to EV: the Eddi power diverter directs your surplus energy generated by wind or solar to heat your water or rooms. Also acting as an export limitation device, the Eddi is a great addition to any system to maximise use of your home renewables.

As seen on Fully Charged!

The new V2 model is BS 7671 18th Edition ready and comes with integrated RCD and Earth fault detection. This eliminates the need to install an expensive Type B RCD or an earth electrode.

Zappi works like any regular charging point but has special eco charging modes which will benefit homeowners with grid-tied microgeneration systems. The ECO+ charging mode will automatically adjust the charging rate to only make use of surplus power that would otherwise be exported from the property – which means that charging your car is effectively completely free!

The ECO mode is similar, but allows you to specify a minimum that should be put into the car by a particular time, in order to minimise use of imported power but still ensure you have sufficient charge to use the car. In FAST charge mode, Zappi operates like any ordinary EV charging station. Zappi is a Mode 3 charging station, compatible with all electric vehicles that comply with SAE J1772, EN62955, EN62196 and EN61851 plug-in electric vehicle standards.

If installing under the OLEV scheme, the Myenergi Hub is also required. This charger has a Type 2 connector. Available for Pre-Order.

Zappi & Eddi come with one wired CT clamp as standard.

You’ll need an additional CT if you would like to see real time generation from your solar / wind system displayed on the LCD display of your product.

In some cases extra CT clamps are required i.e for 3 phase installs.

Harvi is a clever little device that enables the Zappi and Eddi products to be installed without using a directly wired current transformer (CT) for measuring the grid and or generation power; instead the CT is connected to Harvi.

No power source is needed for Harvi – the energy from the CT is harvested and used to transmit the measurement signal to the Zappi or Eddi. This means batteries or electrical wiring are eliminated!

Up to three devices can be monitored by the Harvi. You will need to buy a Zappi, Eddi or separate CT clamp for the Harvi to work.

Range 30m max indoors 100m clear line of sight. Think about positioning and avoid metal obstacles.
